I actually have a drop in Greencastle Pa. I drive right past JLG going there. I tried to do some business with them but they pushed me off to a broker. I still can't seem to find those loads anywhere even with the brokers. I usually end up going back to Washington Pa or Pittsburg for steel.

Your not missing out in anything. Pittsburgh freight pays way better than anything East in PA.

There is a GE plant that does those huge locomotive engines not far from there. Pays really well the couple times I hauled them. Went to Denver both times.

Only catch is that its gotta be tarped and its got 20 million little things to rip your tarp to shreds.
To me thats good. At least thats the level I'm at now and what I like to think is a really well paying load.
When I cant get those,.. I try for light loads going 1000+ mi paying at least $2 - $2.50 mi,.. then look for partial or if I can scale it,.. another full load paying $2 - $2.50 mi going in the same direction. More work,.. but the dividends are worth it imo.

Load I brought back from Iowa last week. Manitowoc 2250 crawler crane car body. 75,000 pounds on the deck.
