Coming from someone who drove for kb ill tell you what the guarantee is,you must be available for all loads.You turn down a load you'll be downgraded to mileage pay for that week.Dispatchers are very aggressive,you better be dieing before even suggesting not accepting the load.The way that 2500 miles a week works is you must run any and all miles given,don't turn anything down.

 

He's not my friend anymore.That ended awhile back.

so what happens if there's an icestorm and you shut the truck down due to roads being unsafe... do you still get your guaranteed pay?

 

You can't just shut the trk down,you call kb and there's a person that gives the call whether its safe enough to drive. or not.They also require you to chain up if need be to get over a mountain.So if you still feel its unsafe and kb says otherwise you do not receive the guaranteed pay for that week and if you're late because you shut down you will receive a service failure on your DAC.

 

If by chance that person tells you to go ahead and shut down then you will receive the guaranteed pay but I heard he's a hard ### so I wouldn't count on it.
