I wouldn't use your real name...just in case there is some future point in time when you need to vent and say something that might not sit too well with someone in management if they read it. It has been rumored that certain members of management take a gander now and then. I mean, if they want to, they can figure out who is who here, but unless it is damaging or libelous they really don't have the need or really don't need to spend the time just for the heck of it.

I believe they are required by law to have some kind of safety meeting every year.

That's probably the biggest reason why they do it. However, it's a joke in it's current way of being handled. No real news put out anymore. The biggest joke is how they don't allow us drivers to ask questions in front of the whole group. Write them down and ask off to the side so they can squish what they don't want to hear and so on. Threatening with points for not attending is sad. Be nice if we could give them points for not putting out anything worth while and wasting our time. I know it's just one meeting a year so not much to get worked up about. I just feel they could spare us the BS over the whole thing. Anyways, sorry if I sound so negative about something so small. It's just that I feel they are missing a lot of opportunities to hear us out and make something more out of their time with us. Maybe one day it'll get more productive for us all. Take care out there!

its a bummer ,I got so angry the other day I felt I
was going to have a heart attack or a stroke , I understand they
need to have their meeting , but
the standing threat of points has really changed my view of these
folks.I thought it was just driver drama at first , but come to find
out they aren't playing around. Sad state of affairs when management
feels the need to threaten their drivers in order to motivate them.
Guess I just have to suck it up and get over it.
