Got a small 9" TV.
Came with a wall outlet charger.
Specs of charger:
9 volt 2A
Sent for a car charger on Amazon.
Found two sold.
Bought one.
Specs of car charger:
12 volt 1.5-2A
Plug fits TV, tested for a couple secs.
Powers TV.
My question, do I need to find a 9V2A plug and Frankenstein a solution?
Because I don't want to fry the TV or cause the battery leakage.
TV is a Pegasus ST0B-B.

Just plug the 12v charger in and don't worry about it.

Most (many?) smaller DC devices that want to operate in the 7-9 volts range can operate ok on more or less voltage then spec'd up to 12v. I suspect 12 volts into a 9 inch TV that is spec'd for 9v won't be a problem other then potential voltage spikes (that a reduced voltage supply can help to minimize)
Many of the vari-voltage transformers you can buy at Radio Shack and the like are as questionable as putting 12v automobile power into a 9 volt device. Personally, I'd prefer running 12v volts direct to the TV (if it works for more then 5 minutes, it'll be fine forever) as opposed to using an inverter and the supplied wall charger, for a few reasons. -
I know from looking at the TV, that the charger is for charging the bat pack, and the TV then runs off that.
I can use TV unplugged from charger.
So is it likely this charger will cause leakage? -
I've had those TV's before (with the battery). You can forget about running off the battery for long. It won't be long before the battery will stop running the TV for more then about 5 minutes, if at all. You'll need to view the TV with some form of power coming in, either the supplied AC to DC transformer, or a DC plug adapter

I figured as much.
Just checked with a CB shop to see what they thought.
They thought the extra 3 volts was an issue.
Told me to wire on a different plug end that matches the 9 volt.
