Bet the guy that parked his truck 3 spots from that trailer and went home. Came back to day crapping his pants.

It wouldn't have been so bad if it was general (new products) freight but, that was an Atlas Van Lines. So, somebody just lost all their belongings. They will get a big fat check from the insurance company but, you cant replace pictures & great-grandma's dresser. This wasn't just business.... this was personal.

    Hope no one got hurt.

Too bad he could not just back that trailer into the water to put the flames out.

I would be willing to bet that there was something inside the trailer that set it ablaze, if so, then I wouldnt be amazed one bit if the customer doesnt get a dime.

Back when I drove a rock box I saw one start on fire.

The cause was an ember from a cigarette that smoldered in a furniture blanket.

Moral, don't let the hired hands smoke while loading the trailer.

Not sure how it started. They had time to get the truck unhooked from it though. I woke up to the sound of a police siren and looked out the curtain through the windshield and just saw a police car and figured they pulled over somebody. Then I looked out the driver's side and saw the trailer in flames. As soon as I got my curtains pulled a cop was telling me to move. There was a guy in a 359 pulling a reefer that was parked right next to this trailer. His trailer caught on fire too, but they got it put out before it caused a lot of damage. Luckily he pulled away from the Atlas trailer right away.
