I missed a good, spontaneous meet-and-greet this morning.
As I was putting my boots on this morning, I noticed a JCT truck about 6 spots away (no one in between). I headed towards the building to get some coffee and I had to walk right by the JCT truck. I noticed the cab curtains were closed. As I walked in front of the truck, I glanced up at the windshield and then I realized it was Steel Tiger himself.
I go on and get my coffee and head back to my truck. The curtains were still closed, so I didn't bother him. Punched the "On-Duty for Pre-Trip" button and started my log. 10 minutes later and I was pulling out. When I drove by his truck, I noticed the curtains were open and he was sitting in the seat. Dang, my clock is already started and if I stopped, I would be in other drivers way for a few minutes.
Not a big, news-shattering, earth-moving story, but I wanted to let folks know Steel is not a myth. He really does exist.![]()

I didn't deliver until 1745 down in Arcadia so I wasn't in to much of a hurry. I don't think I even noticed a JCT truck go by me this morning.
Glad to know I exist. Lol -
Steel, you probably saw me pass in front of you....but I don't drive a JCT truck. I'm lazy, I drag a dry van.

Several months ago, I was on my home time and my wife and I were having lunch at a restaurant in a neighboring town and I saw Terry's truck pass through. My wife wondered what I was looking at and she saw his truck. I explained no one else gets a truck like that but there was a JCT Cascadia right behind him. She liked the equipment and began asking me a bunch of questions. She is in favor of me going to Sapulpa, I'm not too keen on getting out of my comfort zone.
I firmly believe JCT has a good program and I follow this thread for the tips y'all posts, as well as the camaraderie displayed in the JCT threads. Naysayers don't stay around long, but most anyone is welcome and I appreciate that. You don't find that very often.MachoCyclone and damonarnold816 Thank this. -
Well you are always welcome to come on over to JCT.

Alrighty, delivery done, empty trailer dropped at a customer, macros sent. It's time to go home.
Everybody have a great holiday, but more importantly, STAY SAFE out there.

I also was interested in JCT. Had been told I qualified and at the time I had a few things to get situated first and when I was ready to make the switch I emailed them and called them and left messages after being on hold for what seemed like forever. No one returned my call so I just stayed where I am now. I talked to several drivers on the phone and a couple in person and it seems to be a good fit but I have never been to the west coast and they do a lot out that way. Just where I live the more I thought about it the more I figured home time would be a problem and just never pursued it. Still I do think it is a good company and who knows might end up there.
