Manchester, NH voted no by a big margin. The SoCal terminal that voted yes was the small one ULX - USB is the big one that hasn't voted yet. Miami votes in the next 2 weeks and buffalo is expected to vote in mid December. There were rumors about Newark, NJ but it turns out there wasn't enough support to bring it to an election which surprises me.
Just my opinion, a few large hub terminals in one area would all need to go in order for it to gain any real traction. They will work around a few small or even mid size eol barns. As far as I know right now, there are no large hubs ready to vote. -
There are rumbles from the Chicago land area but not much anywhere else. This whole thing is loosing steam in a hurry from everything I read and people I talk with. XCO hasn't jumped in because 3 years ago they were all in and the Teamsters just flat walked away from them so now the drivers that were involved say forget it.
Con-way really laid it out there with they pay raise AND the change from 5 to 3 years to reach top scale. It's public knowledge that there has been a large turnover of drivers and now there are MULTIPLE 18-36 month drivers that are in line to receive a $3.00-$5.00/hr pay raise on 1/4/2015. It's kinda hard to sway people when they see such an increase in money coupled with a lot of other changes, but it might be a smoke screen?? Just because someone gives you something does not mean you will keep it.
Further, the different blog sights (i.e. changeconway2win) are filled with so much inflammatory speech, mis-spelled words, half sentences and vulgarity it's hard to believe a lot of it OR take it seriously! And for me personally I don't want to be represented by a seemingly bunch of half-wits and I suspect that other drivers feel the same.
We have some serious issues at stake within Con-way and we need serious people to help solve them, not rambling and rhetoric that amounts to nothing more than elementary hogwash that accomplishes nothing, except to further divide and discredit us!superflow, Victor_V and double yellow Thank this. -
thats always been a problem with signing barns up anywhere, sysco and us foods do the same thing. ive heard guys who are involved in organizing say that, one barn kept using the union as a threat to get raises out of the company. 3rd time around, the union local said screw it, youre on your own. all i have to say is 3 years from now, if guys turn it down, and the company takes away something else, dont be suprised if the union doesnt care.
2 barns have voted if in so far, and that got you guys 60 million dollars in raises, and a quicker progression to scale. all that can be taken back just as quickly as it was given....ACH1130, semi retired semi driver and Victor_V Thank this. -

I hope every CW barn in the country goes teamster under the Master Agreement. Couldn't happen to a more deserving company. I watched em slowly strangle CF to death from start to finish. What goes around comes around, it is what it is.
already gone, superflow and semi retired semi driver Thank this.
