Picked up a load last night at los Angeles, ca at ceva logistics. Headed towards Ohio, should be there sometime Monday morning.

I put in my home time request for home time this Wednesday, day before thanksgiving. Hoping these trip planners can come through and get me home in this time frame. We'll see what happens, let you guys know if They get me home before thanksgiving. Enjoy your weekend everybody

You're on the CEVA dedicated or was this just a random load? It's shaping up to be a strong December mile wise bro. And green horn only suggestion I have is email Andy vanzant or call human resources. I'd first notify your fleet advocate. Good luck man

Just a random load. This is the first 2000+ mile load I've had in a while. For some reason I've been getting a lot of 1000 mile runs and below. Still managing over 4000 miles a week. Trying to figure how what goes on in the mind of a trip planner. For the most part I think loads are assigned at random, maybe?

Is there a secret to getting 5000+ miles every week? I've talked to other drivers and most say thats just how dry van is. Thinking about doing reefers with covenant. Heard Miles are more consistent with reefers from other teams. Of course that's comes along with more work. Babysitting the reefer, heavy loads, etc....

Also on a side note. My codriver really messed up couple months ago.he forgot to call freight watch with a high security load. He got chewed out on the phone by someone in Chattanooga. But mistakes happen, hopefully codriver learned his lesson.Maybe they're holding a grudge against us and not giving us miles lol.

I put in my home time request a week ago. Most of the time I'm home as requested. But we'll see considering it's the holidays. I'm not the only driver that wants to go home

    Greenhorn400 Thanks this.

Yeah I did reefer division for like 6 months good miles there but I got sick and tired of driving in California. I hate that state. No offense haha. Only thing I can think of is maybe you have been late on a few loads lately thus you're not getting the good loads? Side note I hopped out the truck to pee while trainee was fueling and came back outside and made a scene slamming my cup and everything. I thought my student left me, turned out he drove around to the side. Scary/Angry moment considering I was in basketball shorts and flip flops without my cellphone. It was one of those TA's where there's no space to pull up after fueling.

Good news, picked up a load Monday afternoon heading home just in time for thanksgiving.

Bad news...Normally I get dropped off at the pilot truck stop 30 minutes away from my house. Instead the planners decided to send us straight to los Angeles, ca...250 miles away from where I live. looks like a greyhound bus is my ride home. To make matters worse, they forgot to buy my bus ticket. So paid out of my own pocket. I'll try and get reimbursed later.

I hate greyhound so much. I drove all night last night too. Now I have to stay awake all day for my bus in that ghetto ### los angeles greyhound terminal. Looks like a 24hour day with no sleep today.

I'm sorry your other thread that we thought was about abortion got shut down,
Really there was nothing political or anything of substance posted by most of us.

    Carry on
