For me personally below $1.30 is low revenue..Doesn't mean I won't haul it, it is just what I consider low now..
Lots of loads are at $1.00 or less. As IC we sometimes have to take a cheap load like that to get to another location for a better load and/or to get home, so these loads usually get delivered one way or another by an IC, Company, IC dispatched etc.. Sometimes the shipper and/or SNI will give it to another company. It is the ole' supply and demand thing. If there are more trucks than freight in any certain area, rates are low.. If the shipper can't get the product shipped they will sometimes raise the rates. Just from what I have seen and heard out here talking to shippers and other truckers..

I wound up getting $2.76 a mile on that load.... -
Another great day today... Delivered one load, picked up and dropped a second load, and halfway to my pickup in the morning... About 500 miles for the day....
This week is turning out to be really great for revenue, I'll post some numbers on Friday if all my loads hold together... Should be a record setting week.....
Roll on.....91B20H8, mattbnr and skyviper73 Thank this. -

I will only haul low paying freight so far..usually no more than 250-300 miles.
And that's to get out of an area or to a better paying lane.(I will run into a area at a higher rate then take the lower one to get out)
As for the bottom of the barrel loads or any load we IC's don't pick up..the company guys get them.
What we don't cover they do..or they post them at a higher amount on the Logistics board.
The 1.69/mile to Alabama was a expedited load..it was missed x2..so the rate went up a bit.
I had 2 conference calls about this load..always the same thing..it has to be there by 9am tomorrow(Thursday).
I'm camped out 38 miles away right now..ran out of hours just short of the drop point and they only take delivery till 4pm.
Still managed 686 miles today. -

if somebody needs to drive like that they don't need to be behind the wheel.
FYI I've been driving granny style lately, I really didn't want to risk anything that would have me end up stuck here.Last edited: Dec 4, 2014
