1badmofo, I don't know where at in Ohio you are but when I lived in PA I worked for Valley Bulk out of Washington, PA. They do some frac sand, but mostly cement for well service companies and coal mines in the surrounding areas. We had a few guys that lived farther out and would come up on Sundays and run the truck through the week and go home on the weekends. Basically all brand new trucks, and trailers. Starting pay was 24% with benefits and quarterly bonuses, good family owned operation. Contact John Washabaugh if you're interested, I have a friend who still works there and is very happy.http://www.valleybulk.com/

The roads, especially in the winter are terrible so there is chaining, and a lot of it depending on how bad the winter is. There's a lot of texas trucks up there hauling sand, there's Frac Tech in 84 PA, Valley Bulk out of Washington, W.W. Sell, and R.A.M Trucking just to name a few, they're all western PA sand companies.

the companies pay the same to a point....as of the last month sand has been slow....no matter what company u would decide to go with they all have pro and cons just like any company...I myself run for RAM and I like it...some ppl have alot of good to say...some have bad to say and preach their company...to each their own...my checks are steady and i run decent equipment...... I personally like to stay out 3-4 weeks and go home for 7-8 days...that's my choice not there's...I'd get RAM to email u an app and just see what u like or not....office is near pittsburg,pa

Yeah, it's been a few years. I've got a friend over at Valley, he says there's quite a few guys leased on to them hauling sand. Does Valley broker loads for RAM, or no?
