I saw quite a few people not knowing how to get Sirius working in their truck, so I will do a small write up. Also will include few tips on saving some money. First, most trucks on the road have crappy radios. Few newer ones have better ones and they still lack in sound department. So this is what you have to do. Buy a bluetooth TV soundbar, something like this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/vizio-2...logy/8468352.p?id=1219336311843&skuId=8468352 make sure you can connect AUX cable to it. You can put this thing anywhere in the cabin you want, I drive a Volvo and just put it in front of windshield, since in this truck it does not obstruct my view and provides a stage like sound (like you are in front of the stage on a concert). Connect it to a 120v from your power inverter Get one of the Sirius/XM receivers, I think this is a good unit for the price http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...tle_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A0539716XDT08XH1VZ1N or you can get whatever you like Connect it to Soundbar with AUX cable and put antenna somewhere where you like, for now I just taped it on the passenger side mirror. It does not really get good signal inside the cabin. You are ready to listen now and you can control the volume with Soundbar remote control. This setup is portable, which will satisfy some of the companies, who are not easy about hardwiring electronic stuff in their trucks or if you just change trucks often. Call Sirius and request a $89 plan. They will say its only for retaining customers who want to cancel bla bla bla, ask where you heard about this promotion. Just say that your cousin told you about it. Customer service rep will go talk to his manager, but eventually he will give this plan to you if you say that you are going to cancel or not get the service otherwise. This works for new and existing customers. You will have to do this every year, couple of weeks before renewal, or you will be charged full price of $185 per year. Now to the cellphone part. I assume most of you have smartphones, if you dont you should. You can connect your smartphone to bluetooth soundbar and run your favorite music without messing up with wires and burning cds. I do it this way. I subscribed to Google all access music service, which gives you unlimited songs with unlimited skips and they have an enormous library of songs, because... well, because its Google. With that service you also get Youtube off screen playing and downloading. Since constantly playing Youtube in background uses a lot of data, I just download videos I want at home when I am using wifi and they play them in truck in background. I think Verizon is the best carrier for truckers, however is too expensive. Also their Android phones have not unlockable bootloader and since I like to root my phones, its a no go for me. So the second choice is Att. They are expensive too (I compare everything to Tmobile, which is my favorite carrier in big cities, but they suck on the interstate). I went and got Cricket. They have been bought by Att few months ago and run on the same towers. Single line plan with 10gb of data will cost you $55, plus you get an option of adding more GB for $10 each. For a family plan they have even better pricing, check it out https://www.cricketwireless.com/cell-phone-plans. On my family plan I have two lines with 10gb each and 3 lines with 1gb each. My total bill is $140 a month, compare to $250 with Att. There are no surprise unexpected bills. Also, if you come from Tmobile, they will give $100 bill credit for each line transferred over. Thats about it. If you have questions about electronics feel free to ask.

It does not save paragraphs for some reason, which makes it hard to read. Perhaps forum staff can help

Thanks BASARAB. I may not do the Sirius/soundbar thing, but Cricket looks like a good deal. The $50 a month plan also INCLUDES taxes and fees. I currently have MetroPCS which TMobile bought about a year ago. It does suck on the interstate. I will check out Cricket.
