Any T680 Owners? Would love some feedback.

    I was asked for before, but I couldn't find that report again.
    Do not be surprise, Paccar pushing the Paccar engine. Last time when I made my research on it, it was less reliable, noisier, less fuel efficient than the ISX. I believe they are working on it to improve, but DAF engines never been the greatest, and this one was not even from their better trying. Where they are know? Who knows. The guinea pigs are needed for science, but poor guys sacrifice a lot.. So it is up to you.
    Cummins is the most popular engine in China and they have a factory there to build them for the local market. Like in few other places in the world. Our engines here made in the USA.
    At 180,000ml I had the first real problem. (The first few months I had some check engine lights, what went away after a couple update and recall campaign.) My Turbo pressure went over 30. Diagnosis is faulty turbo actuator. Replaced under warranty. The new part smaller, simpler and silver color.
    My only issue with the truck a couple water leak, at the rear view mirrors and marker lights. Other way I am happy with my truck, and with my spec I have the best fuel economy with a good margin at my company.

    Oram, How is you truck doing, after 2 years? Not many issues? Would you still think that it's better then Fl and Volvo?

    Im back....not to holly yet...
    Problems...

    Last winter stayed home 3 months when tried to go had to change def pump.....turbo actuator stuck....
    Water pump developed a small leak...changed warranty...i shoulf have waited a bit more
    2 front cab markers got water inside...changed....not water inside the ...CAB yet....
    The hood its bouncing like crazy/noise in the cab....rags around all 4 supports are a...MUST have

    More bad things.....

    At 120k miles had the fault light for the intake sensor for the after treatment system ...sensor is located right afyer the turbo on top of the smoke pipe....dealers everywhere doesnt have these parts because are engine/power related,, could not wait for it to come and asked dealer for for quick fix....they did dystem ecu update,clean codes,and force regen......it fixed the problem for 5k miles.....it came back by luck went to the same dealer right by the factory in ohio,.,no part jad to be ordered but no time again....now they cleaned the sensor and regen...200 miles back again....now i said no more quick ones...3rd entry at home dealer changed in warranty....btw that sensor is $$$550.00 if no warr

    Welcome back, Toly007:) Holy in the future :)
    I'm planning on buyig KW T680 and doing my reaserch, want to know your opinion on the truck and team with wife, couse that's what my plan is.
    Ok, sory to hear about your problems, hope 2016 line going to be in better shape.

    Ok...i'd say them all now... all is what is going on with my trucj...others may differ...post from the sleeper from cel so , some letters might be wrong
    I have isx 485 with ultra plus 13....
    Engine's noise sound when idle is nicer than the egr only imo, inside the cab is fine except when pulling hard....noise goes up a lot....using valvo 5w40 extreme now syntetic change 30k ...no spinner ll yet but very soon....soot in the oil is alright but these motors today need extra finer oil filtration ....for extended oil drains....should be an option from factory......engine does get 1 gal at 30k....and aprox 1/4 gal of coolant....dealer said is between the factory guidelines.....
    Btw am alright with 485 hp and 1650 ft/tq cause my weights are medium/low .... but anybody who pull heavier and mountains dont even think about this low torque......must go with 1850 torque...

    I half like ultra plus box....once in the open road /mountains changes gears .quicker than any human....but in very slow traffic. Or when start from stop. Is slower ....first 5 gears go one by one after that if light loaded skips one gear most of the time.....i have no problem hooking up trailers or dock backing without dock bumping at all....

    I thinking on geting 455 hp and 1650 torque, 3.36 ratio 232 wheel base. But i'm still learning and it may change in the future. Planing to do California, from Montreal.

    Hi KT...isx455 i think comes in dual torque 1550 lower 11 gears and 1750 upper 2 gears if u go with 13 speed box....they on the opposite way as volvo i shift that has the dual torque reversed...higher on the lower gears and lower the last two

    Keep in mind and keep reading other people saying that these dpf/def trucks are slower in general at pulling cause all extra choking thats going on with the filters and back pressure on the exaust.....

    I now would not buy anything under 1850 ....doing kauliflornia/naziflornia
