I sent a message via the Qualcomm this morning I think I need to go to the doctor. While the Nyquil helped last night it didn't help for very long and I feel just as bad this morning as I did last night. At least the nausea has backed off. I'm about 60 miles from my home terminal where the truck and trailer will both be safe. I asked them if they just want me to move it there so I can go to the doctor. We'll see what they say I'm still waiting for a response back.

What happened with the 8/8 back to back was when I picked up my trailer I had to take it to the mechanic. I started my clock, picked up the trailer, and then stopped at the mechanic. I was there for 6 hours (listed as in the sleeper otherwise there would be no way for me to deliver the load) before the company finally just said forget the last of the repairs and get on your way. I couldn't finish the 8 hour break I was 2 hours short of it.

I ended up not finding a place to park so I drove from wallula WA to Clackamas OR.

I stopped there at the receiver because I was told they would let me park there until morning. I got there around 1 am and my appointment was at 6 am. I was given the wrong info because the receiver wouldn't let me stay there so I drove around to find a place to park and then try to get some sleep. After not finding a place I just parked on the side of the street. I called dispatch to let them know what was going on and tried to get to sleep. I don't know what was going on but it sounded like somebody was banging on my trailer but there was nobody there when I got up to check thinking I was being politely waved on. I ended up not getting any sleep. I had to do my first 2 drops while still listed as being in the sleeper to be able to finish the 3rd. Thankfully the first 2 were only 5 blocks apart.

When I was done with my delivery I still had lots of hours I just didn't have enough on my 14 to make it back to Wallula. That's why they wanted me to do the 8 hour break to get the rest of my hours for the 14 back, go and pick up the next load run as far as I could take a two hour break to get more hours back run as far as I could before I shut down for an actual 10. By now I have been awake for almost 36 hours. When I call him after I got to the TA in Troutdale to shut down for some sleep I told him that. While I was on the phone to him, he said that I should list all my off duty time since I had to arrived in Troutdale as sleeper, the time I talked to him as in the sleeper, crawl in the sleeper, go to sleep, and leave by no later than 9-9:30 so I could be there by 1 a.m. To pick up the trailer. I hadn't even eaten anything yetc but needed to. Thankfully the restaurant here had chicken noodle soup and hot tea with honey. After eating I went straight to bed until my kids showed up. I had trouble sleeping because of the nausea and headache but it least I was laying down.

They've had me do this repeatedly. I have done just as many 8/2 splits as I have 10s recently.

At this point it has been almost an hour and a half since I sent my message in on the Qualcomm. I've had trouble with them saying they haven't received messages before so I don't know if they have received it or not. I'm going to have to call in and talk to somebody and find out whether I can or not.

Iv'e seen all good replys saying dont take it get your rest but, you should have refused right off the bat since (unless I'm wrong) thats almost a 600 mile trip and you would have had 7 hours max to get it there if everything went right.............................I don't think so.

Hi TruckerGonnaBe, dear, you have to go home, and sweat this one out, it's not going to go away overnight. Like I say, I've had this for 2 1/2 weeks, and I'm STILL not right. This isn't a cold, it's serious stuff and people can die from it. I've lost 12 lbs. already ( actually, that's a good thing), but couldn't eat OR sleep because of the coughing. See, these are the kinds of things they never tell you about when in training. PLEASE, park the truck and go home, and for GOD'S sake, don't park on a street. We need you, you sound like a very good driver that wants too do the right thing, but, again, you have to go home, and sweat this one out, please.

I read that to be the following morning. Not "that morning" so-- like 30 hours. But still, sick is sick. Sounds like they are running her too hard with forced splits like that...

exactly. That is why planners are equally just as stupid and unrealistic in their expectations

I just sent her a PM, not sure she can get it, but I'll call the company, and read them the riot act. This is absurd, and I don't care, I'll get the DOT in on this. I've been trucking for 35 years, and dag nabbit, no one is going to treat a fellow driver this way.

Ah, read the part about you being female. Sorry about the sac up comment... Lol. But you have to stand your ground.

Look your in your first 90 and playing way to much with your logs. Don't be working during your sleeper. Your going to get sent to jail if caught doing that stuff and involved in a wreck, especially admitting it on an online forum. Just run your 14 and 10. Pre plan using 50mph average run time with 12 hour breaks. Anything that doesn't fall in that, just refuse the load.

Going by what you've already shared, and with how your already running that log. I'd quickly straighten it out with safety or find another company.

Seems to me at this point they are playing games. Obviously they prefer you to call. You are just going to have to be a PITA until they respond. Keep sending messages so it's documented thy aren't responding. If you finally need to call then do so and then immediately send a message after you get off the phone documenting the conversation.
