(I was getting crap for pay & is why I left)
They liked to have Drivers take a 3 day weekend every other week.
I was taking 7 days off (in a row) each month.newtrucker60473 Thanks this. -
I got you, the recruiter told me 2300 miles on tanker.. Is that typical or do it be less or more?

I don't know what is going on with Schneider these days, but my last 2 years on the road were with them before I got out of the business. I was running a truck on a TRAC lease through them after I left JB Hunt. They were awfully good to me while I ran there. Great terminals, Clean showers, decent miles...... and a run out to the coast every couple months if I wanted one. My wife developed cancer after about a year while running for them. They were pretty understanding of my situation and gave me a lot of lee way. They let me terminate the TRAC lease without any hassle. I got a few calls from my fleet manager after I left, just to ask me how the wife was doing. The tanker guys seemed pretty happy while I was there also.

Paying for CDL school (ATDS) out of pocket so I'm not confined to a contract... having said that, I live in Waco and have been eyeing Schneider Tanker for a couple months now. I'm basically just looking for someone who currently drives for them to tell me what they made (take home) recently.

Also I am a volunteer firefighter and have a few years working the pumps on our tankers, is it anything like that?
