Hi Tuly,
I test drove a T660 with the 13 speed MHP Ultrashift Plus. My main concern was with low speed manuvering and whether it had a high rpm engagement like the old models. My test drive was good with low rpm engagement and decent low speed manuvering. The truck was not very smooth when shifting but this was expected when bobtailting. My Meritor Freedomline behaved the same. I will know more when my Cascadia arrives mid June.
I chose the Cascadia as I could not justify the $15,000.00 price difference between a similarly equipped T680. I negotiated the Cascadia down to $140,700.00 including 5 year 750,000 mile warranty on the Transmission and 4 year 500,000 mile EW3 warranty on the DD15.

Ok About the ultra one of the eaton's techs told me that they have various setups that the tranny can be put on depends on the aplication....and he said after i get it to call the home dealer and squedule a visit with eaton's guys to or modify any parameters or shifts points on it with a simple computer/programing....includin when the box go into neutral free rolling to a stop by itself....let us know what u find out next...tnx -
My salesman said he was going to have it programed by the local eaton guy for me so hopefully it responds well.

The only auto box i drove was back in west europe(((scania R144) between 99-03 ....here i got 13 OD ...but when i testdrive ultra+ 10sp i felt it alright maybe a bit high on rpm but was 3.70 RR...still for sale in http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=4280395 but i liked it...lever in drive/backup position and the truck didn't move at all untill i pressed the accel pedal.... When EATON'S tech told me that it can be worked on for an appropiate shift points, depending on the aplication and going with 13 speed i know it will hold up..
PS....Even an manual 10sp OD in real life needs more RPMs when upshifting obviously, soo....13 ultra+ should be right on...... -

I was just afraid to go with the same truck that most of the big company's go due to posible backup/days lines a the dealers service gates...when such large crowd down the road will start having problems that, only them/dealers can resolve...when computer/programing needed for the truck to run....and quality/ HALBLAMOS ESPANOL MADE....and their innability to buid a cab strong enough to hold a full windshield/door window w/o spliting it.....ofcourse that's called VOLVO's steel cab or KW's aluminum now.... -
Alright...old one..but now after 155k miles i'm happy that i went with the ultra plus.....wife love's me more.....cause of it...no problems high/low /dock backings......does have some jerkins when at very low steady drive in traffic....but overall ok....
Wish i got a torquier isx instead 485 1650....but it still does the job at my weights and speed....
