from my understanding, yes they will see that stuff, from both employer and former employee. Getting things removed by the former employer that were posted, I think that pretty much requires a lawyer. and to get them removed, you would more than likely have to have your own evidence and documented proof.

Was any of this concerning abandonment in your policy handbook or any of your paperwork?I know some companies will mark drivers if they don't tell the company before just dropping it at a terminal. How about your orientation pay, was'nt there something you had to sign agreeing you would pay back orientation fees if you didn't stay the full yr?I do think that's a bit long but otherwise they wouldn't get many drivers to stay a full yr.From now on read ALL the paper work word for word and don't sign or work for anybody that you don't agree with.Because like what happened here, sooner or later it may come bite you in the ###.

Just file a dispute with HireRight at http://www.hireright.com/applicants/view/background-report-dac-report-dispute-accuracy and then HireRight will request verification from the employer of what they posted. If the employer cannot backup what they said then HireRight will remove it from your DAC report.

If there is nothing in oreintation or hand book about turning in equipment you dont owe them a notice. Try a different scenario. If you would have quit somewhere else they probably would have routed you to a place close for securement and left you stranded. If they kept your money, Im almost gonna bet somewhere in oreintation or in the hand book it will state how much will be deducted.
It sucks you lost the money. I would dispute the DAC hit. The money should be considered another life lesson learned. A hard pill to swallow sometimes but your time would be better spent moving on finding a new gig and cleaning up your DAC. -
maybe things will improveDinomite Thanks this.
