If you get a new truck, it comes with all the injectors free.

    ;)

Since it is a common rail engine, those are around $500.00 each.

More like under $300 each. Unless you're going with 150+HP injectors ;)

I like the new body style RAM's but the days of me ever pulling the trigger on another one are behind me. How has yours been treating you? You have a Laramie mega dually right? I bought mine brand new in Nov '06 it's only got 60,000 miles on it. This is the first problem I've had with it. Dealer told me they tested my batteries cause it seemed weak when they started it. Basically the batteries are dead. Customer did not authorize replacement. We'll deal with that another day. They're factory original lol.

You know I was just messin with you. I'm approaching that point too, re new ones. Mine is a '12 2500 SLT 4x4. It has the DPF but not DEF. That I may or may not do something with that we can't speak of here. The DPF is a mileage killer, but otherwise the truck gets the job done. So far at 7,500 miles a year, I'm on track for even less miles that you have.

My last pickup was a loaded Silverado that I put a lift and other stuff on. This time I wanted cloth seats and so far plan to leave it stock. Funny thing was the nicer packages (Laramie/Longhorn) don't even offer a cloth seat option. I got mine off the lot as a really good close-out deal end of the year and it had just what I wanted on it.

The batteries in my Chevy went until the winter they were 5 yrs old. One had a dead cell and was pulling them both down when parked. I put Optima yellow tops in it. I liked them so much I bought 4 more for my KW.

They reprogrammed my ECM or updated it. They deny it and say they didn't but I know they are lying. The high idle feature is turned off. The power is way down just like stock. No more black smoke. Really ****** off about that as I didn't authorize it.

I think all of that can be fixed with the Smarty but yeah I wish there was some way to keep them out of there when you take it in. The diag port needs a locking door lol

My understanding was that a smarty gets vin locked to the truck when the stock program is stored into the smarty and a new smarty program is loaded into your trucks ECM. So there may be an issue since the smarty thinks that your truck has its program stored onto it, but when you plug the smarty in it will show the stock program, i hope that makes sense i just want to make sure you dont have any issues. I think that MADS, the maker of smarty can unlock your programmer but it may not be easy.
