My Prime INC Experience. (A Running Log)

I'm looking at buying a truck in March. Would you guys recommend an old Prime truck? I'm looking at 2011-2012 Casadias. I heard of you guys getting 8mpg out of them.

 

Well just over a month to go. I cannot wait. I am wanting to get started now....The place we stay at is off Glenstone? Do they then transport people back and forth? Because I am wanting to spend as much time as possible either learning on site or out at the area for your driving tests. I am going to try and get the DOT physical done and the written tests within the next two weeks so that I should have my learners permit ahead of time. I have studied the manual and getting 100 % on all the practice tests. Have been watching videos on the pretrip inspection including the airbrake test and have a good feeling on them. I will be driving up there so I will have my own vehicle to get around in.

 

I got my CDL permit last Friday. Passed all tests with ease. Just 2 1/2 weeks to go. I am so ready to get this started. The only bummer is that I am going to be driving up to Springfield on superbowl Sunday. Oh well. It would be worse if the Chiefs were in it...lol..I am studing everything I can find online so hopefully that will help. Cya all soon.

 

Does Prime do hair follicle test?

 

Does prime check for hernias during the physical? I have an old one the doctor said doesnt need operated on now, since it isn't bothering me. Also, I still pass my physical with my present job.

 

No, but they do random UAs and mouth swabs. Generally speaking, if you have to ask the question that means you've been using. There's no place for drivers who use drugs in the industry. You may think it only hurts you, but if you get caught every driver at your carrier comes under closer scrutiny, and get pulled into weigh stations for inspections. If you get in an accident while your high, you'll get caught, and your driving career will be done.

Yes, you'll need complete documentation from your doctor, and may possibly be sent home because of it. There is a physical test that you have to pass, lifting 70 pounds over your head as well.
