Used to be leased on with Roadlink before it became Roadone years ago. I would clear about 1500 weekly after expenses but I didnt try very hard either LOL... I had a $5000.00 International day cab with N14 so no truck payment and pretty decent with fuel. Anyone leased on with them now in the Boston MA area and are the rates any better? Thinking about buying another tuck and hauling cans again. In the alternative anyone can recommend any good companies in Massachusetts?
Thanks
Is it possible to make good money hauling containers (intermodal)?

What company to you work/lease onto? I ask because I just don't know about the hub group, kind of seems to good. Any insight would be great. Thank you.

yes you can make $1600 a week ,but you will have to run like 2800 miles to do so. i worked my Western Star with a few container companies and they are all similar you will gross about $4k a week but after expenses and insurance which is ridiculous like $140 per week ,often more than running your own authority, the company will always get almost as much as you net for doing nothing except dispatch . Simply put, you an make money but its not easy, and if you like running legal you wont make money.

HUB group is a fair company but you will have to use electronic logs and often you run out of time 40 or 50 miles from home. Plus you have to get most of the containers from train yard ,sometimes the trains are late and that screws your whole schedule for up to 3 days.

the reason to shorten the tail is because most of the time the containers are really nose heavy and you have to run your 5th wheel all the way front to hopefully get it legal, and the kingpin offset on the chassis is 36 inches and een more for the 20 chassis ,so the landing gear will collide with your truck and tear up your frame ; just look around at a few container haulers and see how many have busted frame tails

What are you paying per load? I am a o/o and know several o/o who are looking. You can private message me if you want. Do you have set runs and customers? Do you supply ins., plates, etc....
