How many of you have the hazmat endorsement for pulling flat/steps? Is it worth it or is it just added paperwork and stuff?

I do pulling a flatbed conestoga. It is worth it for us!
-
I have it for pulling flatbed. it's not much of a hassle to get.
I believe you need it for pulling tanks that are in totes. -
I have it because my company requires it and as such pays all the costs associated with getting/renewing it. Which reminds me, I need to get fingerprinted when I get home this trip.

More and more cargo is being classified as haz-mat that didn't used to be. Sacks of dry chemical, fertilizers, paint pigments, garden supplies, stuff like that.
The haz-mat endorsement is a PITA to get but it's worth it. It makes the driver more valuable to the company because it increases the range of cargo he can carry.
Our company hauls very little flatbed hazmat but we still require the driver to have it. We pay for it, too. -
I have my hazmat as well. I use it quite often hauling chemicals and other stuff. Also, you will want to get your tanker endorsement as its needed for hauling liquid totes (loaded or empty)
fireba11 Thanks this. -
I pull a flat and have hazmat, if I get a hazmat load, I'll get an extra .06 CPM, 90% of the hazmats I get are 1or2 pallets, and the rest is non-hazmat, for me? It's worth it
