$78K from Schneider? HA HA HA HA HA!!!! That's a good one! All I'll say about that is you better be a #### good salesman and be able to recruit experienced drivers as well as WANT to become a trainer because that's about the ONLY way you're gonna make that kind of money with them. $2500 referral bonus for experienced drivers and $50/day for each trainee, PLUS you get THEIR miles. Good luck getting a bonus because it won't matter if the CSR rep "forgot" to put the pick-up number in the load assignment, it's your fault for a late pick-up so no quarterly bonus...need 2 bonuses to get a raise. Got 1 1/2 yrs with them and can't WAIT to get the other 6 so I can go drive for somebody else. Still don't know why I haven't gone into the Trimac office in Bessimer, AL yet to fill out an application just so it's on file...

Try looking at private fleets where they make money from selling product and not off the drivers backs. I am in the northeast and I know there is Praxair, Kemira, Linde, Seimens and some more up here. I talked to a driver at Kemira he loves it there getting $24 all hours worked even on road loads, they are out of Wilmington, DE and Baltimore, MD. Don't know pay on others

Companies like Brenntag and Univar are great companies BUT you have to do it all. One day you might run two tankers of caustic, next two days you could run strictly LTL pulling a van followed by two days running tankers of ethyl acetate or some food grade product. Throw in some warehouse work and you have life at a chemical distributor. You'll pump off, air off, nitrogen and gravity. Roll drums, 150 cylinders, stack bags, mini bulk, back into some the most retarded places imaginable and do it all SAFELY. After all, we ain't hauling ice cream.White_Knuckle_Newbie and Cali kid Thank this.
