Looked into a job with NFI. They have an account in Mississippi hauling cardboard compressed on a flatbed to a recycling center in Mobile, Al. Recruiter said they make 800-1000 a week off on weekends kinda thing. Anyone know anything about it or has hauled anything like this before?

I have been with NFI for 18 months on the dedicated Anheuser Busch Longhaul account. I can't speak specifically about the account you mentioned but far as the money and home time, its pretty dead on. I am home every weekend, usually out 4.5 days, home for 2.5 and taking home between 800-1200. Its all about how much you want to push yourself. Best advice is keep your nose clean, stay quiet and bust your hump and you can do well as a company driver.

Yes, I'm still there.i personally have been averaging 1000-1300 pre tax. They gave us a new health insurance choice this year which was one of the biggest complaints among longtime drivers. The stuff you can get when you walk in the door stinks. The dispatchers are pretty good and will help you out if you need days off or to get close to home during the week. Good luck
