60 series Detroit Motor

    I have a 60 series Detroit Motor in my 2003 Freightliner I am having a problem where is seems like when Itis hotter temperature outside I will lose throttle and my motor will only do 45 miles per hour I can shut it off and reset it but it's doing it more and more often has anyone else have this problem with a Detroit 60 series

    The first thing I would be checking is the fuel pressure and the CAC.
    Bogi may very well be correct you can test the pressure sensor when testing the CAC.

    I wouldn't think a cac would cause those symptoms, I know the intake sensors will if bad, or if ground wire at those sensors or going to those sensors are bad. loose connection e.t.c. any codes?

    I live in Michigan andregarding the truck temperature it gets around 200 degrees before the fan turns on I'm not sure if this is the reason and I am getting a cold 64 which according to the Code diagnostic it says that that is a code that can mean anything so it did not really help me too much.I have a meter so I will check those sensors to see if I am getting the proper voltage thank you guys once again I'll keep in contact
