Some life problems have gotten in the way of things for now. Y'all know how things can be... I'll give it another shot in the spring.

Most I got during a visit was some Sun Coast fuelers telling me that they've stopped hiring at the moment, and there haven't been layoffs yet, but they're waitin' for it, cause work has gotten real slow.

Sun Coast is hiring 115 drivers in the Eagle Ford right now. I know this to be fact. They need drivers in the Houston and Edna yards. I believe they just secured contracts for hauling condensate, mainstream fueling, and frac fueling.

I think they are hiring @ $25 hr 60 hrs per week. Plus benefits $6k relocation bonus. If you work out of town then you get daily per diem and monthly travel expenses. It all adds up to over $100k. I don't work for them any more but I might go back.

Why the heck you want to do fueling? Just go frac, you gonna wish you did. Every curler I've talked to wants to know where to apply for frac.

Plus a lot of those guys get terrible day rate pay, sounds good in interview, $150/day and they say lot of sitting around... But after working same shift as frac crew, also sitting around running our equipment, making 200hr paychecks.. don't listen to ppl that aren't in the field

Unless you have a lot of experience in frac, the fuelers (drivers) typically make more than a frac hand and the job is alot easier. They get the same amount of hours, but get paid more per hour in most cases

I don't know much about frac crews but I do know that Trican put a hiring freeze on the Midland/Odessa area. Not sure about other companies.

Some of the truck stops there are comprised mainly of those living out of their truck.. they're packed, noticed a small 1970ish trailer going for $300.00 a week..
