The only time I didn't do that is with a Prime truck because I held back to 55 mph and I was STILL gaining on him. I said #### this and resumed speed. He must have been cruising at 50-53 mph.

I always move over left for merging traffic when safe to do so whether it be cars or other trucks attempting to merge. That's called driving defensively. I won't risk potential collisions or panic evasive action just because I'm worried they'll make me hang out in the hammer lane for an extra beat or two. Who cares. (Also see my point about PA...the land of "killer yield signs" as I'm fond of calling them)

I don't do anything while getting fuel except get fuel. Always pull up even if I'm the only one there. I always check or clean things that need to be done when the pumps are running. If no one is in front of me I can usually get fuel and be gone in 15 minutes or so thats with going in take a P grab a cup of coffee too.
Jump out, get the fuel going, do the left mirrors, undo left hood latch, walk around repeat, walk down the right side and around the back of the trailer to check the left side, pop hood, check everything, drop hood, go to the right side to top off that tank, latch right side of hood, then the left latch, top off the left tank, jump in, mark it and leave.. No wasted movements cause I'm lazy.

Can you imagine who much easier it would be to get fuel if everyone did this?

Okay, driver, take a chill pill. That's enough common sense for one day. 😁

Adaptive cruise control has made dealing with that guy who is 1 mph slower a lot easier. My truck will match his speed and keep me 350 ft behind him. Also, my collision mitigation gauge shows the speed of the vehicle in front of me. So I know whether it is worth it that I could pass or just stay behind him.

I always check the top of the over pass when going under to look to see merging traffic well before they even get close to merging. Close calls at the merge point are often rare. Not to say they don't happen from time to time. I'm just not surprised and I'm ready for it. Either go left or I am already slowing down to allow the jerks to merge. The truck attempting to merge usually won't back off. Yes trucks don't know what the hell a yield sign means just like a four wheelers. I also look to see if they are holding a cell phone on the left ear. Means they can't see out the left mirror, nor will they look over the left shoulder, to see anything while merging. Truck drivers to the exact same thing with the cell phone. Its becoming more rare due to the fines one can get in a CMV. The one law I really like.

Oh and by the way you look like a complete idiot trying to back in a space and failing cause your holding a cell phone to your ear.

Always have the directions before heading to the ship/Rcv. Never once in a 11 years or so have I ever asked for directions on the CB. I wouldn't trust a strange driver giving it even if I did ask. I will not move to the final unless I have the directions. I will sit until I can get some. Driving around with no clue will get you into deep trouble more often than not.

I have seen this too many times from drivers of all kinds of vehicles. Unfortunately, my guess is none of them will see this.

Until they give us two different class of lisences, I'll continue to let my wife drive. No use risking my points.
