It gets that way sometimes. Last year from late December thru February into early March, if you weren't on the weekend board by Tuesday or early Wednesday(even if you weren't going to be there until Friday or Saturday), you were there until the following Monday or Tuesday.

I got a load roaming and around Texas and then back to pgp ,

so so this week is a complete write off . 4 days and less than 600 miles .

Word of advice , don't take Texas only loads , always grab something that will take you out and far away from the BBQ state.

    tucker Thanks this.

A yankee making good BBQ is like a yankee making edible grits and gravy or collard greens...it'll taste like a yankee did it...ain't no cookin' like southern cookin'! :biggrin_25526:(and this is coming from a certified 'transplanted yankee'...or is it certifiable.....I forget)...NY or Chicago...pizza, Cali....tofu and vegitarian, the gulf coast...sea food....FL/TX - beef and BBQ. There is a reason us bubba's are big...to quote Bubba D Biggin..."we luv us some bbq'd vittles":biggrin_2559:

Got my back haul. I pick up in Ottawa, OH going to Ballinger, TX then roll 215 miles back to GP. Gonna' be a 2700+ mile week...not sure of the customer in Ottawa, the broker wasn't at the office, and since I don't unload here in Brownstown, MI until morning, he didn't tell me who the shipper is...anyone ever pick up in Ottawa, OH? Ballinger sounds familiar like I have delivered there before...but I don't recall. I think it was the flatbed load I carried out there, but I am not sure.

*edit...Ballinger is a plant food maker..,I remember delivering crushed peanut shell powder to them

I also have a serious question, not just for our Poly-wogs. Since Poly doesn't provide or offer life insurance, where is a reliable, but not too expensive to get 250k or so of life insurance at a decent price?

now cmon now i didnt say nuttin bout no collard greens, only find them up there in a can
lol ya kno i was thinkn what we need at gp is a picnic area with a grill maybe plop down a lawn chair on some grass, should ask for that at the next meeting, i get tired of the concrete prison feel. im guessn they wouldnt like it if i got out a grill an lawn chair an had a tailgate party over by the truckline. unless theres an area somewhere else on the compound but that would be nice. a guy can dream
