Mudflaps on my Truck - New to pulling Containers

    Hi 'olhand, actually, the old Pete was better than some trucks I drove. I drove an R model Mack that was used as a spare tractor when yours was in for service with manual streeing, and I got "charlie horses" in my arms driving that ol' horse. The boss said, drive that truck for a week, and you could arm wrestle anyone and win.

    Drove a RC II big bunk with 400 CUMMINS :) and an AIR STARTER :(, truck had some torque in it liked to eat U JOINTS and drop the drive shaft on a regular basis

    Our apologies to Lunchman, but that's what happens when you get old timer's ratchet jawin'. I remember those air starters when I was a kid. You'd hear them in the night, and we'd always wonder what that noise was. Weren't they on gas tankers, so the electric starter wouldn't spark the fumes from unloading? White made a darned good truck. My 1st truck, an '82 Western Star had a lot of White parts in it. Made money with that truck, pulling RR cans. There, I tied it into the thread.

    Most oof Big Rs linehaul fleet were air starts...back when I was there&I don't think Trashcan ever got away from the&I know cornflakes never used anything but air...
