Obviously if companies know that they treat there drivers good then they would have no reason to be on here. This is great because the ones that are patrolling this sight might not be that good to work for.
Attention all company drivers!!!

Everybody needs to stay far far away from FIRST EXPRESS out of Nashville TN. They are a horrible company to work for if you ever get sick. My husband got sick and could not speak and I was the one that called in for him but would not accept that. They assumed he quit and said he abanded his truck because I took his expensive stuff out of his truck since we found out that any of the keys to any of the trucks open any other truck so I didn't want his stuff stolen. We knew he was going to be out for at least that week and I did not want to chance it. They sent someone to his truck and had them open it and go thru his stuff and he told them he cleaned his truck out And had abandoned it. BULLCRAP!!!! I called and spoke with the dispatch manager myself but he didn't think I was enough of a confirmation for the reason he was out sick all week. I'm sorry but when my husband is in bed sick on hydrocodone cough syrup, tamiflu, and ibuprofen to break his fever I refuse to allow him to endanger others lives out there on the road even though First express wants him to do that. Absolute forced dispatch so if there's any kind of conflict in the run you can not for any reason have it changed. They are jerks to deal with. And because of my husband being out this past week and them not taking my word for it they held his pay and payed him what they called paying him off the logs which was major crap. I have bills I need paid and they held his money for stupid reasons that werent even true. They are no company for any decent driver to sign on with. They are another bottom of the barrel companies. I wish we had known before he signed on with them. DO NOT SIGN ON WITH THEM!!!!! Stay far far far away.

I am new to all of this I am starting a new job soon and I am so happy to be joining the truckers out there. I love reading this sight to be more informed about the choices I will be making. but I always look in with more detail other then a few post. there are many reasons the companies will do what they need to do. we are a dime a dozen. I know that and know that to raise above the odds of failing you have to know a lot before you get knocked down. common since. But I am excited and thrilled to be going on this new adventure.

Please stay away from WEST SIDE TRANSPORT! I refused to pick up a load due to my HOS being low for the day. I received a call from the safety director threatening to report the truck stolen and to jack up my DAC if I didn't pull over. After picking up the load the next day, I called the dispatcher to report I was low on fuel. I notified the dispatcher that I had 1/8 of fuel, and he would not authorize fuel for my location. I informed him that I didn't trust the fuel gauge and he still wouldn't approve fuel. West Side's only concern is saving a dollar! Don't be fooled into driving for them. It's a great company until you stand up for yourself!
