How many of you would drive 70 miles to your job? There is this company that wants me to haul curtain side trailers but its 70 miles which would be 140 total there and back brake that down to total miles in my car its 700 miles a week.Job pays $175.00 a day and off weekends. my car is horrible on gas not to mention the wear and tear driving that every day.Recruiter has been calling me a lot probably just to hear my sexy voice, lol.Anyway I emailed him yesterday and suggested either taking trk home or dropping it off at a trk stop within a 30 or 40 mile radius.I'll hear from him tomorrow.Heck id be filling my car twice a week which won't leave much of a pay check.

I would pass on that Patty,
I had a job that was about 75 miles away. I only traveled it about 2 to 3 times a week when I would get a night home during the week.
Still it sucked on the gas deal...My Silverado and Tahoe only get around 16 mpg...
Plus it was racking up the miles fast on my personal vehicles.
After about a year they started letting me keep the tractor at home...that was saving me 100 bucks a week!

Also nothing worse than running hard all day or night and still have that drive home.

Hi Patty, I agree with the others. I did that for a friend Fridays and Mondays. It sucked. After a long night and day, and then to drive the 75 miles home, I was falling asleep. I had an older Dodge mini-van, and one day the timing belt broke. Just wasn't worth it. BTW, I didn't know you have a sexy voice.:biggrin_25525:
