I must give a big kudos to backhaul today. I need to be home next week. Did outbound a favor taking load to north vernon in. I know backhauls from there go to up north got my backhaul up there outbound had one load going to rockford. I didn't want it cause didn't want to back to up north. I was only one on up north Tuesday board so I took it. Told backhaul I need load back to Texas so I can get home. They came thru with a load to Carrollton.

Sitting here doing my taxes. For those that wondered how the per diem works here, here is the breakdown. Poly's term is "per diem reclass". Basically they subtract $59 for every day you're under dispatch from your mileage gross income.(before calculating your taxes) Days spent on a 34 not under a load or waiting for your next outbound are not counted, even though the IRS says every full day away from your residence regardless of load status is deductible. Poly reclassed just under $16k. My days out (before subtracting the 20%) was over $18k. Subtracting what they deducted from what I calculated, then subtracting the 20%, I still came out with almost a $1700 meal allowance deduction...so the per diem the way Poly calculates it didn't really hurt me.

Any suggestions besides the truckstops in DE to park for the Smyrna WM DC drop. I think I remember picking up at a place a couple of times with Crete in DE that had a real nice parking area we could stay at overnite. I would shoot for that if it was close. I think I remember a Frito Lay outlet in the Crete p.u area but it wasn't Frito Lay we picked up at. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Already got the ok to park overnite in the Woburn location so should be good there.Last edited: Feb 14, 2015

I was on board for Monday since last Monday. They were low on Sunday loads so when I got the call the only thing left was new Braunfels and Houston. .....
