Don't do cigarette plug on that volume of wattage, the CIG plug wiring is not heavy enough gauge to constantly and safely carry that load, spend the money, run a heavy duty inverter line with quick connect, you see these guys that burn down their trucks overdrawing their inverters, heavy gauge wire is extra money well spent
-
Get a bigger inverter, and a bigger tv.
-
Ya i didn't think so the company i work for doesn't allow use to "install" large inverters are selfes the shop has to do it..
-
Thent get them to do it they don't want you to do it because they've had botched installs by driver running cheap 12 gauge wire when they should have run 4 or 2 gauge
-
The fastest way to burn down a truck is to let the driver install his own inverter.
WitchingHour and STexan Thank this. -
Appliances and tools with induction motors may require from 3 to 7 times the listed wattage when starting. The start-up load of the appliance or tool determines whether an inverter has the capability to power it. Be sure to check the specific wattage requirements and operating instructions for appliances / tools to be used.
F.Y.I. ..... (conversion formula: Watts ÷ 120 = Amps ........ Amps x 120 = Watts)
So basically if you know how many amps your tv uses you can figure out if you have enough wattage to power it. -
Since when did watts and amps have a direct relation? There is no such formula.
