I bet less than 10% of the drivers over here even know it's already a done deal. They are quick to point out details of the meeting on the Qualcomm minus 1 very important fact, the cameras !!! Funny how it's not mentioned the day after. I find it difficult to believe in our companies "Core Values" when they seemingly only apply to the executive side of the table. I've ALWAYS held this company in nothing but the highest regards, it is the standard to which I have help build and protect. I guess now everything I've done to protect it means nothing. I am no longer trustworthy of performing my skill that I have earned mile by mile without supervision. I am not bitter, I am not angry. Most of all I AM heartbroken that my time here is coming to an end.

The sad thing is it will be everywhere eventually. I wouldn't be surprised if it were mandated by the Feds before long

When I was with Shaffer from 2000-2004 they had about 40 trucks that had the same kind of cameras in them that was only on a dedicated run where drivers were home every day running back and forth from Cleveland,Tn to Kennesaw,Ga for M&M/Mars and they parked them at either the warehouse at Kennesaw or the Marrietta,Ga terminal. My truck was getting repaired from where it got backed into and the only spares they had was one of the trucks with cameras so I had it for 2 weeks. Shaffer said the same thing that it would only be looked at in case of some kind of an incident and it would show on the Qualcomm if there were any of those incidents. As soon as I left the terminal on that Saturday I took tape and put it over each of the lenses so nothing could be seen because I just did not like the idea of it at all. A little over a week later I get a message to call safety so I did and the reason was they wanted to know why I had the camera lenses blocked? I looked every day and I never had any of the incidents that triggered the the camera so I asked if it was true that they could only see it because of an incident and I had not had any how would they know that? Their response was "we just know". Yeah it only can be seen if it is triggered by an incident my arse.

Hi.. Glad to see/hear when people enjoy reading the thread. . There are many contributors and a wealth of info. :)

I'm not on the company side but ACT provides a fuel route/stops to the company drivers when they are assigned a load.

The company drivers are required to utilize those fuel stops..It affects their review which in turn helps determine increases in pay.

The lease side. .We are given SUGGESTED fuel routes. .We are not required to use them but they are usually the cheapest price.

On a side note. .We have an app that allows us to log into the fuel card and see what price were actually purchasing the fuel for. It's usually 20 - 50 cents less than the posted price. (The Loves in Atoka OK..last week..our purchase price was $1.87)

I don't know how to see what the average is. .I look at the fuel stops along my route and make my decisions then.

I bought it for $2.25 this morning in Mo.. I'm heading to Newnan GA.. Looks like $2.32 in TN.

So do you lease ops usually fuel at the suggested fuel stops? I'm guessing they would be the same ones the company drivers would be told to use?

Personally I hate P/FJs and Loves but I realize TA/Petros wouldn't be wise economically.

Roadcall... The suggested stops are usually best but not always. .ACT is really pushing Loves (asyou know) but the FJ in Warrenton Mo is always cheaper than Boonville. .I look at the prices and go where I get the best deal.

Bronx.. Welcome aboard. In a nutshell. .No its cramped, especially when compared to the 680..I was amazed at the difference. I can literally do jumping jacks in here and not touch anything with my arms or legs.
