Incredible, another idiot with a CDL.. This time responsible for the death of another commercial driver.. This guy should be prosecuted, yes I know, the deceased driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Doesn't matter here, this crash should never have happened.. What a fool!

Oh well trucks and cars always pull out in front of each others nd don't care about how fast you are going nd what you gonna do, that's just sad nd why he didn't move over or slow down by having many years experiences you can read the mind of anyone on the road nd be ready.

Never trust anyone on the shoulder ... Every day you see people flying by disabled vehicles or stopped vehicles who may be distracted and just pull out in front of you ... RIP driver hopefully the 2nd driver pulls thru

I got detoured through beautiful downtown Willcox last night (at 30mph) because of this wreck. I hate to see anyone get killed... I also hate losing hours because some genius made a foolish mistake.

Wonder if driver #1 had a real emergency, or if he had just stopped to check a message dispatch had just sent on his qualcomm? Did he feel pressured to get moving again quickly because an e-log was keeping close tabs on his 14, and in that haste failed to wait until he had adequate space to safely re-enter the travel lanes? Or was it solely a major case of "head-up-the-keesteritis"?
Sure it was a dumb move...but if that stupid computer had anything to do with the wreck, it would be an important detail to have, especially when the widow/family of the deceased files a lawsuit against the other driver and his carrier. If the reason he was on the shoulder was related to any company policies regarding prompt responses to messages, or the reason he was so impatient exiting the shoulder was pressure due to unforgiving e-logs, then the company's liability for the wreck should go through the roof. -
How come people merging from the shoulder can't use mirrors? I do my best to move over (or at least hug the lines) if I am coming up on a vehicle on the shoulder, but I've had to get creative once or twice when people are only up to 15-20 MPH and they start moving left. If you're doing 20 MPH and traffic behind you is moving 65, chances are good you won't be going much faster before they catch up to you.

Motor vehicle operation remains the sole practice where you can habitually ignore your education and training, violate all the rules, whip every grain of common sense into submission, and still be great at it.magoo68, fuzzeymateo and 77smartin Thank this. -

Lots of people just pull out from wherever whenever they are ready to go without looking or caring. Time to leave the fuel island? just go. Don't bother looking when coming out of the rest area, it will just slow you down if you have to wait for some one, it's better to make them move over. Your green arrow means nothing to me and my Road Zombie skills.
