I was talking to the lineup guys a couple of weeks ago, it seems the incidence of folks providing hot test samples for cannabis is way up. Pot my be "legal" in Colorado and Washington state, but its not legal for a commercial driver to partake. If you get caught with THC in your system on a random urinalysis at Prime, you can kiss your driving career goodbye for some time. There is no second chance at Prime, you're gone, and they will plaster the facts of your departure all over the federal drug test database and your DAC report.

For the new guys, alcohol consumption is not allowed during training... that means both PSD and TnT.

And if you do get popped, please do not ask if Prime wants a copy of your medical marijuana card!

I was wondering if Prime's regular non light weight trucks are like, do they have power inverters, or am I able to install my own? I was thinking about doing tanker after training. I'm currently wrapping up a 600 hour long cdl course, and am still looking around for a good carrier to join up with.

If do get your hazmat/twic will Prime reimburse the cost? - For a broke student the cost of both is pretty prohibitive.

All Prime trucks are equipped with an APU and inverter. You are specifically prohibited from installing your own equipment unless the detail shop does it.

That stuff is yours. Prime will help you pay for it by taking it out of your pay in installments.

So quick update on getting paid after you quit. You'll get paid for the miles you ran but KEEP ALL OF YOUR EQUIPMENT!!!!! The fat ### in Springfield in the equipment return is claiming that there was no equipment on the truck when I turned it in. I have pictures of it all and video of me going through and doing an inventory at the terminal. Also my fleet manager has been trying to figure out why it has taken 2 weeks and still hasn't seen anything from them about the equipment I turned in. So I guess I'm glad I have some here I can sell at the house to make up for some of the 3700 I paid for the stuff.

It's pretty sad to have a #### good fleet manager for over a year then quit after being in ###### wreck then see what other drivers are saying first-hand. I'm just glad my fleet manager wasn't out of Springfield.

But good news I was offered a job at one of primes customers delivering heavy equipment making good money. Good thing in the trucking industry as long as you keep a good diving record you can get another job fast. And with just 2 years in I'm now at the house working 7-5 M-F.

Write a letter detailing the equipment you turned in with the truck, put copies of the pictures you tookin with it and send it certified mail with a return receipt to payroll. In the letter ask that they correct their oversight in not providing you credit for the returned items. Keep it civil. That's the first step. Make sure you have copies of everything. Depending on the response you'll either get some money, or you'll need to follow up the letter with a call. At this point if you still haven't gotten satisfaction, you'll probably want to speak to an attorney.

Remember, if you want the process to work you need to remain civil in your contacts with them.
