I agree with you Roadcall. That was always my issue with ACT. My whole career I have always been one that wants to run as many miles as possible but it really isn't possible there because they think all drivers enjoy sitting around the truckstop all weekend and not all drivers have the same motivation and need to make the same amount of money. To be honest I always referred to ACT as kind of a company for lazy drivers. Their planners probably could not make it anywhere else. When Tom Jr who is the president of the company started being in the top leadership of the ATA or TCA or whatever it is flying with Rob L the owner of Prime in his personal jet I knew the days of ACT's lease being a decent deal was going to be over. Now they have replaced the 4000 lease where you own it at the end to the 8000 lease where you don't. I just don't see the point if you won't own it at the end.

Really Jag? ... in the past I have commented about the low company average and you made it a point to tell me you get far more than the 2300 mile average.
The bottom line is, I wasn't calling you out, I just wanted to hear the perspective of the other drivers.Last edited: Feb 18, 2015

Current driver and 2,300 is a bit optimistic. Some good weeks around 2,800 but not many at all. If you get it one week you won't get it the next.
RoadCall Thanks this. -
By the way Jag, you said you drove 1500 miles on the 8000 lease and took home (pre tax) $1100? That's .73 a mile profit, impressive. What kind of fuel mileage is that 680 getting?
