    Odd it does all that.

    1. It does not update via the Dock.
    2. It updates via Wi-Fi/Bluetooth to your hotspot.
    3. You will have to change your security settings on your phone to the same as the Tablet.
    4. Go to Settings/Location/tap on mode/make sure Battery Saving is clicked off.
    5. As with any android, when an update is available, on the tablet screen, upper left you will see download arrows, swipe down and install.
    6. Go to settings/apps/Truck GPS/do a "Force Stop". It will restart when you press the Truck GPS again.
    7. What extra apps have you loaded onto the tablet?

1- never tried to update i just wanted to go to the docks and see if it could fix errors
2-3 I will eventually get a hot spot at a truck stop or motel for that until I get my security code prob. fixed
    4-ok
    5-ok
    6-ok
    7none
still stuck and don't know what to do to fix it 3 days old and cannot use except single trip routing and even then it takes a while to clear previous route in two different screens before it will take new route
hope they will let me get another one to replace it this one has major issues
I heard someone could do a remote hookup and maybe fix it anybody know if that is the case

What other apps have you downloaded to the Tablet?

Dock will not fix the Tablet, The tablet is an Android base and the Dock does not see it.

Remoting in will be slim since the Truck GPS files are in different areas.

Unless the Truck GPS files are corrupted then the Truck GPS app should be allowing you to do like an TND does.

I have to check on one thing...

While I might seriously look at the 530/730 models if they are working towards the tablet market I will wait for the iOS version... No need for two tablets... I see they have the RV version released for iOS so maybe the Trucking version will be out soon (or maybe I missed it and it's out already) ...

But if they want to venture into Tablets, why release their own tablet? Just release the app (Android or iOS) and let people install it on their own Tablets.... Why try to develop/support both hardware and the app?

So so I will probably get either the stand alone 530/730 and keep looking/waiting for the iOS App to be released.

    Just my two cents worth.

HMMM, all this bickering over stupid GPS. Who needs them?.. really it's just a want. I just still use my old laminated atlas and a phone for directions. Atlas has never ran me over a restricted route, under a low bridge, tried to route me thru a corn field somewhere, all the information is in the front of atlas.. if smart enough to actually look for it. So with all the flaws why would someone want the aggravation of having some electronic idiot box mounted on the dash to send them down wrong routes ect?. I don't get it. but then again i still use a plain cell phone(not a so called smart phone). All these electronics are suppose to make life easier for the driver?.

Well, it's also a dashcam. Anyway, why not use both?

Were it me, use the written instructions as a primary method and the GPS as a secondary. Use of a GPS is a great tool provided one knows how to use it properly. And I'm not talking about how to punch in addresses either.

Use both. There are some things that atlas won't tell you and some things the GPS will be clueless about.

Ok so mine will do single trip if you clear history and cancel route and don't try to ad stops or pull history
but funny thing is when it reaches destination it says you have reached your destination and its stuck on jacks, fl Walmart
I just drove 115 miles to Lee FL. for a pic up and it did fine as a single route however when I got here it said you have reached your dest. jacks. Walmart which I am 115 miles from
this is one screwed up gps and I seem to be getting no awnsers on fixing it
