I agree with the consensus too. Carriers will knee jerk almost 100% of the time. They believe drivers are a dime a dozen ( Teams .15 cent ) and if one has a problem then we will just get another. You are a tool, a wrench in a box to be used however the carrier see's fit. If you cannot perform then you will be replaced with a tool that can. Simple carrier logic......remember they are a mindless ungrateful group. They couldn't care less about what you did yesterday. It's about what you can do tomorrow. ( Own this )
In this case there is a question that cannot be answered and the benefit of the doubt will fall in the carriers favor. This is typical behavior for a carrier. You have a problem, you are a risk so now you are gone.
Even if you clear this hurdle then the eye of suspicion will still remain so....why bother?

This is a lease, NOT employment and the company does not have to have any reason to terminate the lease - they can without a reason or even give one.
A lawyer will look at it and tell you the same exact thing I am ---> nothing here to do other than to move on.
Unless the company has done something wrong, just move on. -
While I agree with the statements regarding the carrier and moving on, I would definitely pursue the issue with the police department and spend the money for a lawyer on that aspect. If you are truly not at fault than you should be fighting this with them. This cop has no business placing the blame of this accident on you with zero evidence.

I mean if you as the owner "win" why go back to the company or better put you shouldn't go back, what's gained - this is a business not a popularity thing.
And then why even bother when there is no repercussions based on the fact that your dac isn't effected, your MVR is still clean and you have no CSA points out of it.
What puzzles me is that this is an owner and acting like they are employees, go and put the truck on with another company and just keep it moving.
