Are you serious? I have seen many where they are the only one involved how are they not at fault?

you got that crzyjarmans ! i ran on snow and packed ice all of last week as usual out here in the bush and no probs .
first thing i figured out about montana when i moved here is mt. dot. dosent use salt and they only spread a little sand on the hills and curves and god will remove the rest .
oddly enough i seldom even see a car in the ditch out here and have noticed most people here got brains enough to slow down .
no surprise on that I 44 deal after having lived in joplin a couple years ...they run 44 like a race track and start ditchin em when it rains .

Oh, I don't know about ignorant, but it's your privilege to call names. I didn't say they always cause the accidents, but they are typically the ones you see bunched up. Why? Because of the quality of "drivers" they put on the road and the quality of the training those "drivers" receive before being turned loose. Face it; things are a lot different than they used to be, what with the substandard training and substandard drivers being thrown into this industry all because the megas keep pushing students through their mills as fast as they can, and these pileups are becoming more and more common. And, no, I'm not saying that the megas are always at fault for causing these wrecks, so don't feel like I'm being offensive to whatever company you drive for. What I am saying is that there are way too many "drivers" out here that have no idea how to react in these situations.

well mega or small you put rookies out there without enough traing or common sense
expect the lil box to think for them
unrealistic time frames , drafting and tailgating it all equates to accidents
80 from the quarries to IN turnpike scares me twice as much as Donner Pass

I think a lot has to do with the way trucks have evolved. Basically, rolling studio apts and it gives the newer driver a false sense of security as to what they are actually driving. Years ago, a truck was a truck, and you knew it.
