We got mullen and gibsons fighting it out to see who can cheapest out here. There has been rates offered by these companies at $120 for 6 axle just to try grab work from others. Like you said...racing to bottom to see who can do the most work for nothing.
Anyone feel the effects of oil/gas yet? (Alberta, BC, Sask.)

Yeah road bans go on tomorrow night here so we'll have more loads for a little bit. As long as the mud buggies can get to the leases.

Up in bonnyville cnrl are being rank. They tell everyone to cut rates, then they put rank rules on hourly charges but then when you do have a hourly charge that fits. ... they don't pay. I just got laid off twice in 2 weeks.
worked for one mullen Co for 3.5 years, they lowered rates 8%, their competition went 10% so cnrl gave 120 loads a day away. Then I hopped onto another mullen Co and worked 4 days then they got under bid and lost the run, now I'm with the company that took that run.
I know a few fluid haul companies folded recently. It's getting tight out there for sure, changing jobs is bad because your the new guy who's usually first to go when things get tight.TheYoungBuck Thanks this. -
