Are we a bad trucking company?

You asked if you're a bad company,after reading more of your posts honestly and respectfully I would say you're not the best,just a typical company that forgets drivers are the backbone.

 

That sounds horrible and I hope you go under!!!!! Ha ha. First off, Chicagoland trucking has an image that they deserve. You being there and seeing it close up know that. But you guys are not the norm in Chicago. And to do things the right way while watching your neighbors do it the wrong way is to be applauded. The foreign owned aspect isn't the problem in Chicago. The way trucking is done in Chicago, you being the glaring exception is. Don't take it as an affront when you see what you do here, but understand you guys are not the norm in Chicagoland. Too many bad actors have made it what it is there.

 

you push driver beyond their limits ...then charge a $100 fine if the driver turn in a log showing that fact....don't you

 

Maybe I'm blind or use to it but explain Chicagoland trucking,
White volvo, slippers, euro accent or middle eastern? Run down container haulers that can't upkeep their equipment but yet still hauling cans? Dump truck, garbage haulers who don't give a rat ### they turning in the wrong lane? Police giving the blind eye to truckers? Every half a mile, there's a container on the shoulder? Am I getting close?

 

You could give them health insurance.Let them get Obama care and pay half!
That is what that crap company I worked at for 4 weeks was doing.....Wonder how legal that is?

....sorry, but it is disrespectful to drivers to withhold two full weeks of their paychecks - you are disrespecting the drivers by doing that - at the end of the pay period every driver deserves what he's already earned !! - none of this "oh - you'll just have to wait another 2 weeks sweetie!" baloney

 

Beyond Transport......

You may want to think about a GOOD Safety Director to get the CSA scores back in line. One other thing to think about is that drivers want to drive for a company that they believe will be around for a long time. As a driver (or any other type of employee), I don't want to worry about the company going under. I'm not saying yours is but I have seen many companies on the edge where the employee's are constantly looking for another place to work.
