Yeah, I saw that. I just wonder, would going 20 or 25 mph cause everything to fly forward like that, or is that something that would happen at say 45 or 50 mph?
I think the momentum of the truck/load has a lot to do with it in addition to a little bit of speed. I think I'd rather hit that can at 55 empty than 35 loaded.

I do have common sense but I get tired of people like you. Every comment I've seen you post is about how all truckers are stupid ###holes or the reason someone got into an accident is because they're inexperienced ###holes! Fog is the most dangerous of all weather conditions to drive in. He could have been doing 35 and the next driver could have been completely stopped and there it is, accident happens.

neither did this guy apparently:http://www.safersys.org/query.asp?s...724414&original_query_string=RICHARD JENKINSI think that's his safersys given the name listed as deceased and the name/city on the door. nice clean record. Judging by the equipment in the wreck he had been driving for a while unless he had a trust fund. That's what gets me in the pictures of a lot of these types of wrecks. It's not just young dumb kids. I try and look at accidents like these and think about how to make sure this is never me. And though it makes me want to toss my breakfast as semi said, it's important to look at pictures of accidents like this and do some thinking on it.

Not him. Flemingsburg ain't nowhere near Owensboro. First name starts with D not R.

His numbers are on the sleeper door sticker which is unreadable from the photos.
