    That's why I'm glad I have Sirius.

    100% commercial free music

Admittedly, however, that just means that they repeat songs a lot more often.

The other channels do have some annoying commercials though.

XM has many commercial free channels.

The 70's for example. The most annoying thing here is to pay for the service and the DJ's decide they like to talk through the beginning or ending of the song. Just like they did on the commercial radio am/fm. One of the reasons I quit listening to radio and bought XM.

    ya XM can get annoying

like highway 16 doesnt have commerials, nashville 11 does both country stations

i like the virus 202 , mainly for O&A but those commerials get old fast...

I'm pretty much done with XM. I won't be renewing my script this year. The shows I listen to, I can get on Podcast. They're mostly research/documentary shows. So nothing of immediate "breaking" news.

I can get "news" on AM.

My Ipod has over 2100 songs.

So XM is toast in my book.

Before I picked a satellite radio service, I went online and checked out the channel lineup on each service.
I like Howard Stern, but since that was the only positive I could find for Sirius, I decided to go with XM.
I like Opie & Anthony, Lex & Terry, Bill Mack, The Trucking Bozo, The Midnight Trucking Network, and Coast to Coast AM, just to name a few. Lots of others as well.
And the best part? Not having to search for a new station after I've driven out of range of the one I've been listening to.
    Thanks XM!

Since I got the XM 5 years ago, I am not sure I have AM or FM on the radio.

I mainly listen to audio books that I have converted to mp3 cd format. I will also listen to XM. Sometimes XM will be off for a couple of weeks.

If you don't mind being a day late. Most of the "good" stuff is availible for podcast. And the cost is about the same. Less commercials too :)

I have a scan function on my FM/AM, and regular radio has used the same times for news breaks for years. News is not an issue.

I can't do the audio books. Never have been able to pay enough attention to follow the things.

Really don't know anything about podcast.

There are times I have no clue what is going on in the world. Just drive down the road and listen to the books. I love to read and there just is no way to really enjoy it. After driving all day, there are times, I won't even turn on the tv or computer.
