Yes it does.. on the map screen you should see below the turn arrows a left arrow with 3 lines, tap that. Then to bring all back a icon at the bottom with 3 lines and right arrow.

    Thanks,
    Mark

PM me your E-Mail and let me try to find it. You will have to save it to your desktop and import to your TND via the Dock once I find it and send it to you.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I send the suggestion up to RM. They would not remove it completely put maybe locate it on a different part of the map screen.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

I have a TND 500, updated tonight with the latest off of Rand website. I'm having an issue with my touch screen and calibrating. I was reading some where that in; Main Menu, preferences, scroll twice and select align. But for what ever reason I can not get at the align screen ( under the device tab). I can see the left tab is blue, indicating where i am at, just cant seem to get at the device tab (on the far right) with my stylist pen. Tap, tap, tap... nothing. Aarugh!..I have never calibrated the unit and didn't know that was possible or is it a different unit I'm thinking of?... I hope I can fix the touch screen I have a long hall with a lot of stops and having the touch screen working better/at all would really brighten my world. I'm at wights end here, oh n I'm never the smartest guy in the room but I can lift heavy stuff, and can make loud farting sounds with my right hand and armpit, while reciting 105 decimals of pi.

Thank you in advance for your incite n maybe a fix.

OKay.. weird, but ti's working now and I made it to the align screen... I was just taping around the tutorial screen and walla! tapped on the cross hair n I'm back in bidness! Whoot!

I got this unit when they first came out and was let down, because of the update it needed. I met a fellow truck driver with a laptop and we updated it. It has worked flawlessly for years now and many miles. I will do better keeping it updated with the latest drivers and maps. It only lead me wrong a hand full of times, twice because I didn't listen to my instincts, and once cause i was just lazy and letting her tell me where to go with out much of a pre-planned route. The best $400+ dollars I have ever spent. Talk about worry free driving, finding a place to land for the night on the fly. Great tool to add to my Rand McNally Map book. Thanks for your time Mark, (even though my caveman intellect tapped it back to life.) ;0)

Awesome product and well worth the investment. Jersy, NY City, no problems. Map book, GPS and some common seance goes a long way.

    Doesn't help.
    That removes near everything.
I would like to pick and remove just a few of the icons. (such as the WiFi Icon as was mentioned by freightshaker I believe it was)
    There are others.
Really it would be nice to be able to edit the whole layout of the Screen...think of being able to move the Icons on your Desktop or Android Phone.

But again just don't think that would be put into a device like this.

I am not having a full-on freeze, but it does seem to hang up in certain cities when there are lots of back to back interchanges.

Happened today in Cincinnati going south from i71 to i75, I was like why does it want me to turn left and go north on 75? It didn't, the arrow was just hanging up from a prior interchange a few miles back. After 5 minutes or so, it caught back up to me on its own...

Junction view off, class 10 sd card...

None of which explains why if you reroute from a fixed point (while stationary) you will get 3 different routes out of 10 recalculations -- and you'll probably get the least desireable route 7 of those times. Every time I resume a trip from a via, I have to make sure it didn't change the route on me, because it'll often add 60+ miles...

It still does screwy things like this. Like near Chicago with 80/90/94 -- it'll have you exit to the feeder freeway for 2 miles and then return back to the road you were just on.

Another concrete example: I95 in virginia to Long Island: Why does it not use Goethals bridge no matter what you try? And why is it so hard to get it to not take the NJTP from Wilmington to Trenton? Except during peak traffic times, I'd rather not throw away $40 in tolls to save 3 minutes...

And why can you not enter a maximum truck speed for it to use for its "fastest route" algorithm? The "fastest" route will pick a 220 mile route with 80mph speed limits over a 200 mile route with 65 mph speed limits, but if my truck doesn't go over 65 that "fastest" route isn't...

You found the secret spot on the accept screen we put in, in case you could not get to the alignment screen.

Get 7 posts total and PM me... time to get updated with something else. Your maps are way to old.

Is this a B, C, E or x10 model - look on back at serial number.

    Thanks,
    Mark

This would add greatly to the code to allow each person to personalize their TND. Since coding costs money this was brought up before and we did make some adjustments for the screen.

    Thanks,
    Mark
