so buying a used one for huge repair bills is a better idea?
rates sucks at west, that's why I haven't gone out there yet.

That's the west coast for you. I go out there once in a blue moon just to stretch my legs a bit, but can't stay out there because of those .99 loads you speak of. I got lucky the last time I was in Cali., I found a load going to NY paying 1.71, but that is pretty rare.

Yeah I need to come to your area for sure. I hate it but I just keep sticking around.. Love the new trucks.. I hate seeing guys getting chewed up and spit out constantly out here. Last guy i started with just quit. Friends don't last long out here that's for sure on the west coast. Co to cali .85 cents. Just to get back home... That's good for up here... :(

Im trying to follow the logic here. If the rates suck on the left coast. Why continue running out there? I Can't rap my brain around it. Please help me with the logic. If you keep doing the same thing...you get the same results. I never been pass Tx, because there is a reason. I don't care if your leasing or running your own authority... The money states for dry van is the Midwest... The NE is a hit or miss and the south is for stretching your legs.

Yeah I know for a fact that there is money to be made here, if your not making money there ain't nobody to blame but yourself. Lots of guys doing the coast to coast just chasing miles, even though the game isn't miles.

There's more to it than simply cents per mile. Obviously that's probably the first thing to consider but if you're sitting two days waiting for that one magical load it's not going to work if you're trying to make a truck payment. If you don't have a truck payment it's a different story.

If you live on the west coast obviously you are going to be running out there more than someone living in North Carolina

I didn't say it's all about CPM, even though that's a huge factor, if your doing long cheap paying loads and spending more in fuel then the short good paying loads well there ya go!
