They hire all the time because they're a poorly run company in my estimation. And I know they've lost a lot of business in the Austin region, to Kenan. so it's going to be a case of YMMV. It's a shame because the gas business is a great business to be in. I stuck it out for 3.5 yrs with Mission but eventually had had enough of the new terminal mgr they installed. Just a mean old so and so. I think Kenan transport should be operating in Ringgold too I would think. Check them out too. But the best thing is to talk to some of the mission drivers and get their feedback. Ask them about replacing hoses and equipment.
the problem I saw with mission is that any expenses for the trucks comes out of the terminal mgr back pocket aka bonus. Trying to get replacement hoses for instance was a constant headache. Heck, I couldn't even get gloves from these cheapskates, so I bought my own from Amazon.
But one I know and I've mentioned it before is that their benefits were first class, so I could never understand their mentality on safety breaches.

Well I guess it all depends on where you are with mission. I know some guys were on a 5/1 schedule and some liked it, others hated it, in the oil fields.
As regards lying about experience, I've seen them take inexperienced people and trained them, so no need to lie.
It's a very intense business at times so you've got to be on the ball when loading for instance.
You have to start somewhere. I was inexperienced at first and got trained with Coastal Transport before I moved onto mission.
But give it a go and see how it pans out.

Contrary to what has been said, it's a revolving door at Mission. I saw plenty of drivers come and go. It's a job that doesn't suit everybody. It's going to depend which terminal you're going with. The trucks/trailers are pretty good. It was replacing hoses that was the problem. And you can't run around delivering gas when you've got leaking hoses. And that is exactly what the management wanted you to do. I had constant arguments with management. It was ridiculous.
They just buried their heads in the sand. They didn't care about your safety, even though they claimed to the contrary.
But in reality, it's a great business and I'd love to get back into it eventually. You've just got to do your due diligence and enjoy the journey.
    Good luck

Missions turn over rate isn't high they are growing continually and to get the contracts they have to continue to hire to have the man power to fulfill the contracts I worked their 2 years so far and made 80 k plus both years and don't plan on leaving not bad money for being home everyday .

Pay is way better than otr and with these hours of service it is really hard to get anything done otr no parking these days shippers and receivers wanna hold you up once your day starts the clock doesn't stop otr really sucks I feel bad for the men and women who do it best of luck to you all oh and the customers dont want you coming in the warehouses etc it's like they treat the otr drivers like a bunch of nobody's and that is not right after all who keeps America going something really needs to be done about the way drivers are treated and I don't mean one week out of the year which is driver appreciation week .
