What are these "fancy features" on the new truck that you speak of?

Built in refrigerator with freezer, diesel powered APU, inverter, mount for a flat screen TV, built in GPS in the dash, and basic Sirius channels paid for. The new trucks have 80 inch sleepers.

Some of the older trucks don't come with the in dash GPS, and Sirius, but fridges, Invertets, and APUs are in all trucks.

I trained in a 2013 and it had a touchscreen.
The new trucks have a trial period with sirius. You have to pay when that runs out. Still pretty cheap. The 2010 I started in had a sirius radio, but no touch screen.
The newer trucks have the adaptive radar system too. Lets you know when someone is in your blindspot on the right, lets you know how many seconds the car ahead of you is, and it brakes when you are on cruise and someone gets to close in front of you. I dont dig that last part... but its managable....by keeping your buffer zone... but when it happens it usually pisses me off...lol
They all have 10 speeds. I heard there are a few autos floating around. They were ordered for specific drivers that needed or requesfed them and were with the company awhile.. But your chances of getting one is slim...

I quit using the cruise control during the day because of that radar - nothing worse than having a schedule to keep and when you glance at the speedo the fugger is only doing 45! BAH!!!

    Woobie Thanks this.

LOL!! That does happen. Matches the speed of the vehicle in front of you. So many times Im just driving along, hardly any traffic. Listening to radio....realize Im following a Schneider truck and the cruise that I had set on 63 is now going 58...lol that is a real pain in the ###... lol... the cure? Pay attention and pass! Lol...
