Carhartt clothing

Carhartt jackets will break in, don't baby them. Mine's survived 5 years of oil&gas work and is nicely broken in, no visible wear other than some wierd orange splotches from getting passed through a dryer with some crayons, courtesy my then-3 year old son. They're worth the money, to me...I'm really hard on outerwear. Had some Walls bibs that disintegrated at the seams after a year.

Worth it to me, and if you find a sale at a local shop often times they're cheaper than the cheap alternatives anyway. A few weeks ago I bought a nice new black non-FR jacket, paid $50. Just gotta catch a clearance or two.

 

I have their rain gear bibs and jacket. You won't get wet.

 

I bought mine at Academy. I went to the store to try it on to be sure of the size and it was less money then the online price.

I have at least four Carhart jackets, love all of them, well worth the cost, unbeatable durability. I also wear the bib overalls and recently purchased the ripstop double front cargo pants, I like pockets. For the price one cannot beat the durability of Carharts vs. other "jeans". Be sure to select a size that is comfortable while in the driver seat.

If not mentioned already, Fred Meyer (Kroger) sells them also.

 

Price is relative to your own piece of mind.
It doesn't bother me to spend money on quality that lasts. Gives my wife fits though, every few years when I have to replace my steel toes or get new bibs or a jacket. Because I spend money on quality products.

 

Usually you get what you pay for.

 

I never have owned Carhartt, before this Dec 2014 that is... I bought a jacket, bibs, hat and gloves. I haven't even wore the bibs yet and winter is pretty much over so.. The jacket however, has been touched by grease more than once and that crap don't come out, at least I haven't found a way as of yet. Most of there stuff is American made but, not all and to me, that is worth more money. I buy my American made pants and hoodie from All American Clothing and I am happy with that. That being said, the jeans don't really hold up, at least the medium washed one's. I have bought a black pair and blue pair this time and will see how they hold up,,,in the wash is what I am referring to. They loose color too quick for my liking.. For those that wear the Carhartt jeans, how do they hold up vs any other pair?
