When I built my 408 for my 4th gen WS6, I used the lifters out of the CTS-V (supposedly no valve float up to 8500 rpm).....
gotta love LSx heads though they flow some amazing numbers (withOUT hogged out ports) with a baby cam (236/242 on a 114 lobe) I made like 62rwhp on a 50 shot, and like 219 rwhp on a 200 shot......sorry but that's the best I have lol

    such a crazy day.
Trailer wasn't even loaded until 30 minutes after I was supposed to leave (2nd week in a row for monday), i wasn't the only one. Seriously START EARLIER warehouse peoples.

found out that the slowest driver (i mean seriously pokey) got canned. I moved up a spot!!!!!!!!!

found out later this afternoon that management is squashing a rumor that they are closing our terminal. I never heard the rumor until management told me. Which I find very interesting. Why would I quit? If i get laid off I get UI, a package, basically retirement for a little while and I"ll still have my golden ticket (aka CDL with good record)

    most work excitement in months.

oh, and then they asked me to run the North Dakota run because the guy who was running it left to go work in Georgia terminal (he was a visiting rep, he gets paid the same no matter what he does, they make bank). Ummm, takes 4.5 days, pays $1200. I'm working 4.5 days, only out 2 nights and am making 1400-1500 bucks. Why would I change????

Brother, you need you're own thread, I think you might win the award for wackiest weird WTF company crap moments. Dude, you just can't win and keep showing up everyday for work. Someone at the company must have naked photos of you and can't leave. :biggrin_2559:

oh man I got them good at April fools

Got to 4th stop around 9am (right on time despite stupidly loaded trailer and two, count em, TWO pallets taht went over in the freezer (straps? what are those?) and got approval from the manager to do it.

    Call into the transportation office

hey, i'm on route 123 at my 4th stop which is a red lobster which I have been doing for weeks and nobody is here. I went around front and there is a big chain and padlock on the door and a big notice that says "tax lien, business closed"

ummmmm, ummmmm, hold on a moment. Oh crap, really?

Ummmm, tell me again what the deal is, I'm going to have to get some people.

    "it's route 123, 4th stop and it's April 1st.

Oh you son of a ######, you made me almost throw up here.

    hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to call in and say "hey, everything is here and the trailer is good and nothing damaged". but who would believe that?

shoot, i forgot the best story from Monday. Apparantly a new guy, upset at having to work Saturday, on his friday route, basically told the restaurant manager to F off, moved the truck far away from the lot and locked the keys inside and called someone to come pick him up. Guess he quit.

kinda stupidly IMO, but i bet it was exciting.

Most Foodservice jobs don't work SAT's probably why dude flipped out. If they do its skeleton crew. Use to work once in a blue moon when I worked foodservice but I was low man so I didn't care. Someone should tell him welcome to trucking a 24/7 business. Don't like it get a normal job.

What's up guys. Been a while. Was a crazy winter and since been repairing potholes like crazy. Since I now lose my overtime, I'm in the process of a part-time gig. Got an offer from a towing company, with a low-boy which I got experience from my municipal job driving theirs, but hours may not cooperate with my job, and a job driving a video game truck, just a dually pickup with a gooseneck. Pay is good for both part-time gigs. Just got to see which I can do. It's time to upgrade my truck so I need a 2nd job lol

Why not apply with a Union Sub contractor of the state? PA has them and under the Teamster pay scale.
