is there anyone here who was able to remove this stuff off the truck being an owner op? i understand if you drive for a company, they want to see it being there or for safety concern, but i think i had enough with this system, did anyone actually remove it? i have tried putting a plastic bag on top of the radar that dont quiet seem to work. i drive in bay area and on curve the system thinks the car in front it and slams on the breaks man i have not had ever in my driving truck experience had to break this hard but this system do :biggrin_25513: .

please share your feedbacks if you got any..

    i have a 2011 cascadia with DD15

If you truly own the truck, you can do whatever you want to it. Can't say the same for lease ops and company drivers.

duct tape doesn't work. been there done that. i'm trying to remember what we did. our company bought the trucks used and didn't care @ it so they let us disable it. thinking it took a hammer and a screwdriver...

Try a brilo pad or something similiar in front of the radar. I think the metal will difuse the signal enough to keep it from engaging all the time.

Any wires going to it? Can you unplug it or snip the wire? Not familiar with the system just throwing out ideas.

Might be as simple as pulling a fuse, depending upon what all else is on that fused circuit. If that system has a fuse all to itself, problem solved.

Call the service department at a freightliner dealer. They will know. If that does not work for you, call the company that makes the problem systems customer service line. The large companies love to help to keep a good customer relations image.

I've noticed that if you aren't steady in your lane or you're being blown around in the wind, the radar moves around more and may pick up other traffic.
