    Another quick update:

I got a NASTC fuel card. Now because I get such good mileage, I'm not convinced I'll really save that much on fuel after factoring for the fees & membership dues, but I am hoping to cut out $2,000 worth of showers from my "travel" expenses.

    Fuel card costs:
8 hours sitting through time share-like sales presentation (aka NEST): ~$250 (one time cost -- not an actual fee, just whatever your time/travel is worth)
    NASTC annual membership: $250
    Monthly fee: $4
    Transaction fee: $0

    First fillup:

153 gallons at $2.17 (w/o IFTA) compared to $2.24 if I'd paid cash at the lowest advertised price station en route (a Mom & Pop) -- a $10.71 savings. More to my point, I broke it into 2 transactions so I earned 2 showers redeemable at any TA/Petro compared to 1 shower that I could only redeem at that particular M&P ts...

Another benefit? Removing some of these #### loyalty cards from my wallet:

The Pilot/J Road Warrior card would be a nice secondary card. pretty no frills, you get cash price and they automatically withdraw from checking account three times a week. It's real easy and non-commital, there is an $85 annual fee, but you get double points so some of that you'll get back. Other than that I think you can just let it sit in your wallet no fees in case you have trouble loading money on the NASTC or wind up at a PilotJ.

Double yellow. My truck is about 2 hours away from me. Do I need to run a log book to pick it up n bring home? Also for fuel do I just swipe my debit card?

No log book no nothing. Just a paper on the side that says "Not for Hire". Your debit card will probably only let you get like $75 worth of fuel. Probably have to go inside first and tell them an amount so they can pre-authorize

If you're picking up a truck that you're paying almost 40k for and it doesn't have enough fuel in it to drive 2 hours I'd smack someone.
